The San Antonio Wellness Institute provides a comprehensive medical evaluation and preventive strategies to maintain and improve your overall health. A battery of diagnostic testing and consultation with multiple physicians takes place in a period of three to four days.

Our mission is to identify illnesses or health risk factors at very early stages and to implement the most effective treatment or therapy available to favorably alter the disease process and benefit the patient with an optimal level of wellness.

One of the unique aspects of our program is the direct contact in a short time with the many participating specialists and sub-specialists with Dr. Robert N. Schnitzler as the medical director in charge. Dr. Robert N. Schnitzler is a nationally renowned cardiologist, Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology in the United States.
Overall Benefits
Some of the benefits provided to the patients enrolled in the Schnitzler Medical & Wellness Program include:
- A comprehensive evaluation by Dr. Robert N. Schnitzler, internal medicine specialist, cardiologist and electrophysiologist and prestigious specialists and sub-specialists in the United States
- The comprehensive medical assessment, diagnostic studies and necessary treatment usually require a brief period of three to four days
- At the end of the program, the patient privately consults with Dr. Robert N. Schnitzler, who reviews and evaluates the test results and provides a plan strategy for better living
- The patient receives via mail a medical record that includes the results obtained and the plan of care developed through the medical program
- During the patient’s stay in San Antonio, direct access our medical personnel is available 24 hours a day. Please limit after-hour calls to emergencies
- The day before the start of the program, the patient receives a complete orientation
- Translation to the patient’s native language is provided by our multi-lingual personnel
- Complete logistical coordination to include transportation and lodging, as well as assistance with basic necessities
- Transportation and personal coordination to all medical appointments
- The patient is provided with a cellular telephone to help facilitate communication with our medical staff
- Communication with our medical personnel is also available via E-mail
- Enjoy the many tourist attractions available in San Antonio, Texas
Corporate Plan
Recognizing that the economic success of a company directly relates with the health and well being of its employees, our medical wellness program developed an annual health assessment tool to assist corporations in attaining this goal.
Several Mexican companies have incorporated the Schnitzler Medical & Wellness Program as part of their annual strategic planning and corporate promotion. A written consent, from both the patient and the corporation, is obtained to authorize the release of the patient’s medical data. Accordingly, the company uses this information to assess the level of future production and stability of each employee. It is also useful in the planning of the company’s short and long-term financial goals.
To facilitate the implementation of the program, a corporate charge system is available. Our program contracts with the best specialists and sub-specialists in the United States. A discount of 20% to 30% from the participating doctors, hospitals and clinics is offered to the patients enrolled in our program.
Family & Individual Plans
The individual patients or families enrolling in the Schnitzler Medical & Wellness Program receive similar benefits to those participating in the corporate plan, including the discounted fees. Special care and accommodations are available to the handicap, elderly, children or patient with chronic illnesses needs.
Our medical program was created recognizing that health and well being are among the highest priorities of an individual. After a comprehensive medical evaluation, we provide the patient with strategies for healthy living.
Our Comprehensive Annual Checkup
- Our program starts with a telephone medical interview to learn in detail the patient clinical profile. Based on the information obtained in the medical interview, we design a personalized medical program, an extensive annual evaluation to include the review of all major organs by Dr. Robert Schnitzler and several physician specialists
- The patient receives a complete medical report, CD or thumb drive, that includes results of all diagnostic tests and evaluations included in the medical program, and the recommendations and treatments of Dr. Schnitzler

Administrative services provided by staff
Medical Interview, reviewing and gathering of previous medical information, schedule appointments and making itineraries, communication and instructions to the patient prior to the program, accompany to every single procedure or evaluation included , translation (if required) to facilitate doctor/patient communication and clarification of information, getting information directly from every doctor involved in medical evaluations, reviewing medical results, preparing preliminary information for discussion for Dr. Schnitzler, processing results, providing doctors instructions and recommendations focused to resolve main medial issues, preparing billing for private pay and /or Insurance, and preparing medical and billing reports.

- All medical services on private pay basis will receive an estimate.
- US Insurances may cover for some of services. Additionally, all copay, coinsurance, deductible, and/or any medical service not covered by the insurance will be patient responsibility.
